Hunting Party in Snowy Mountains. Ink and colors on paper, mounted as handscroll. Signature at the end of the scroll: “Hunting Party in the Northern Land. In mid winter of the gengsi year painted by Yu Yu.” Two seals of the artist: “Yu Yu” etc. Six collector’s seals. Three colophons, the first one signed Zhao Mengfu (1254-1322), the third one signed Wang Duo (1592-1652), with two seals: “Chen Wang Duo yin”, “Juesi”. Frontispice with imitated dragon borders and an imitated inscription and seal by the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795).

A Mongolian ruler with his entourage are depicted hunting hares and other game in a snowy winter landscape. The painting is probably after an early composition done in the 19th or during the Republic period
